Have you ever read a book you really liked? I recently read a book called » The Fault in Our Starts » by John Green, in which there are many characters like Hazel and Augustus who is the main characters, Isaac and Monica. In addition to the story of the two main characters, the story of Isaac and Monica also gets a lot of attention. Isaac and Monica love each other deeply and they always say their love is « always », but when Isaac is blind, Monica broke up with Isaac even though the two were very happy with each other before. Although Monica only appeared once in the story, she was mentioned many times by Augustus, and Hazel. According to John Green’s book « The Fault in Our Starts, » Hazel said « To be fair to Monica / what you did to her wasn’t very nice either » [135]. Hazel still finds the real reason for the breakup between Isaac and Monica. Hazel’s jokes with Isaac have shown us Hazel is well aware of her illness. She sensed the horrors of cancer and limited contact with many people to avoid causing damage to those around her. Especially to Augustus, he was a special person to her, she didn’t want him to suffer any further damage, so she limited contact with him, did not dare to meet and talk to him. However then she felt that she could not get people out of her life, especially Augustus, so she tried to stay healthy because she thought it was the best way to avoid harming Augustus and the others love her.
